Liberty Children Crash the Tax Revolt Party

What happened Saturday?
130 Sons and Daughters of Liberty showed in full force at the Tax Revolt Saturday in Fullerton California--see link below. Forward the video to the 6:32 minute mark for the front end of procession and at 9:15 there is the tail end and on. We marched a quarter mile to the event.
We handed 500 Campaign for Liberty brochures and 1500 custom made fliers promoting C4L. We collected almost 500 signatures to End the Fed, and passed out pocket Constitutions, Freedom to Fascism dvds. We had a table and tent along side the Young Americans for Liberty table. Also, we distributed the C4L flyer to audit the fed.
We crashed the Tax Revolt party and received a rousing reception. And most of all, we did much good by spreading Ron Paul's message of freedom and liberty to the angry masses. They are listening people!!

This is great. Way to go. Peacefully show what you believe and peacefully demonstrate that your convictions stand. And that you are organized.
Dear Friend of Liberty,
Maybe you've heard, or maybe not, but the Missouri State Police think you might be a security threat.
Why? Because you support Ron Paul and the Campaign for Liberty. Also, because maybe you own guns, oppose abortion or homeschool.
Even, and I'm serious, because you support the U.S. Constitution.
I know, it's ridiculous...and probably steams you a bit.
But here at Campaign for Liberty we are going to give this foolishness the treatment it deserves. More on that in a moment. Let me give you a bit more background.
As you may be aware by now, the Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC) recently released a report titled, "The Modern Militia Movement" to over one thousand Missouri law enforcement officers.
What is the Missouri Information Analysis Center? According to its website,
"MIAC is the mechanism to collect incident reports of suspicious activities to be evaluated and analyzed in an effort to identify potential trends or patterns of terrorist or criminal operations within the state of Missouri. MIAC will also function as a vehicle for two-way communication between federal, state and local law enforcement community within our region."
The MIAC warned officers that violent militia members are "usually" supporters of presidential candidates like Ron Paul and are also known for opposition to things like the Federal Reserve and the income tax.
The "study" was undoubtably written by some university liberal who knows nothing of the hundreds of thousands of Missourians who share our values. I can only imagine how many hundreds of thousands of Missouri tax dollars funded this.
Both Ron Paul and Campaign for Liberty champion principles of freedom, peace, and prosperity. We believe that the Founder's vision for America can be reclaimed through education and peaceful activism. It is a common practice of elitist intellectuals and backroom bureaucrats to attempt to crowd everyone into groups and stick labels on them, especially when it involves those who support a Constitutionally-limited government.
Anthony Gregory, editor-in-chief at Campaign for Liberty, has posted an excellent new article on our site concerning government broad-brush fear campaigns.
It is important that we respond in the right way when faced with such a government labeling, and the proper way is to go straight to the top in Missouri.
The way to fight thugs and ignorant people in authority is not to cower or rage, but to proudly proclaim who you are and what you believe.
That's why I urge you to sign our Citizen's Petition here today.
Our petition spells out in no uncertain terms who we are and what we believe. And it reminds those in charge of enforcing Missouri's laws that we are citizen activists who will not be intimidated nor embarassed into silence.
Simply owning a gun does not make you a threat. It means you are a free citizen.

Clearly, either 1. stupidity and incompetence or 2. intentional contamianation of flu vaccine lots was at work...

Got this email from BJ Lawson, from the Lawson for Congress fame. Some excellent points of what gifts we (via Turbo Tim) are giving as US citizens to our banks. And what do we get in return? Overdraft fees and impersonal service! It is amazing how much money these institutions are sucking out of the system. On the flip side, if they ever recover, how will we know that we got the profit out of our investment in these banks??? Wouldn't it be better if we just let these banks fail, and their good parts (like online banking and most buildings and loans) be bought out, and the rest just written off and be done with??

Whom do you trust?
It's an open question that I've been pondering for the past several weeks. The markets have been asking this question, as well -- despite billions of additional borrowed money to bail out Citibank and protect AIG's trading partners, we keep sliding to new lows as debt deflation continues.
Our Treasury Secretary, Turbo Tax Tim Geithner, sat in front of the Ways and Means Committee yesterday to assure our representatives that his actions, and Obama's budget proposal, are absolutely necessary to restore our economy. His favorite quote when confronted by pointed questions or painful anecdotes from our current crisis was, "That's exactly why we need to..." [bail out AIG/increase the TARP/create the TALF/embrace a budget that forecasts a $1.75 trillion deficit].
Oh, really?
Keep in mind that just last week Geithner gave a massive gift, at our expense, to Citibank. He exchanged the Treasury's preferred stock for common stock valued at $3.25 per share.
Yesterday, that Citibank common stock closed at $1.22. We, as taxpayers, have given Citibank far more than its market capitalization, yet watch a minority stake dwindle towards worthlessness.
Why should we believe any words that come out of Geithner's mouth? Does anyone believe he has the interest of American citizens in mind?
Here's my take -- it's up to all of us to move quickly through the stages of grief. Many still labor in stubborn denial. Anger doesn't help. Rationalization -- particularly prevalent among Obama supporters desperately looking for "change" -- also interferes with preparing for what's next.
It's time to accept that we are approaching an economic dislocation that has been decades in the making. It is the mathematically-inevitable consequence of an system that tends towards instability -- it's not a bug, it's a feature. It's the system working as designed.

Once we can accept that our politicians and bureaucrats intent on consolidating power, and corporate interests committed to the status quo, will neither admit nor address the root causes of this crisis, we can prepare ourselves and our communities for what comes next.
What comes next requires a government that rejects oligarchy, embraces individual liberty and responsibility, and empowers us to rebuild our communities by restoring trust.
I've mentioned Chris Martenson's Crash Course before, and I want to publicize the fantastic educational (and refreshingly apolitical) forum Chris has grown over the past several years to discuss our current challenges and rationally prepare for the future. I'm also excited to report that a good friend from Virginia Beach is helping Chris host a Crash Course Seminar in Lowesville, Virginia on April 24th.
